Please vote via blog comments or emails to me at my regular or CEO address (ceo at marklogic dot com)
Which route should I go?
- Long descriptive such as Valley Musings
- Topical a la Structuring the Unstructured
- Creative, for example, Software-ista
- Name-derivative (a la Scobleizer) with something like Kellblog
- Techie as in XMLathon or DBdude or InfraGuy
- Terse: A CEO
- Mix: pensiveCEO
- Status quo: Mark Logic CEO Blog
What do you think?

I expect I'll read you no matter the name; a rose by any other name ...
But since you ask, Structuring the Unstructured is the one in your list that most caught my eye. That may be just me, of course, and it does have the drawback that it doesn't match your topics perfectly. I liked Valley Musings, too, as a name. And Kellblog is slowly growing on me.
I vote for Kellblog plus a descriptive sub title!
Mark Blogic?
Kelloblog. I think you might need the 'o' in there.
Kellblog--if not that, "Ruminations and Deprecations" since you have an interesting philosophical side and and a great ability to be self deprecating--both somewhat rare in CEOs these days.
kellblog is good, but I found your blog because of the "Mark Logic" in your blog name.
Kellogical
I must cast a vote for Kellblog because that sounds a little like "Quelle Blog" (or "Quel Blog" for a slightly more masculine twist) which would help lock down the French-speaking market - such as is found in a government town like Ottawa Canada.
I gather "Quelle" means source, fount or wellspring in German.
These street signs all seem to point towards "Kellblog". I know I would be unable to resist such a confluence of meanings...
"The XML Leader"?
Dave -- this is a double issue if you elect to go for a "technie" name. For example, if you pick "pensiveceo" -- do you use camel coding, reverse polish notation? ... the variations are enormous.
What about "Mark bLog ic"
Thanks for all the input folks -- keep it coming.
I agree the confluence of meanings in Kellblog (Quel Blog!) may to be too much to resist!
On verra.
I too will read you any name you call yourself, and you need not ask me to dinner.
Still, I ruminate over The Serial Kellogg, and realize you may have heard that your entire life and hate it. Not even sure I like it. As I said, like C.M. Sperberg-McQueen, I am a reader...Thank you.
I like "Mark Blogic" or, even better, James' suggestion of "Mark bLog ic". But I'd drop the space between 'g' and 'i': not quite as cute or cryptic, and it would preserve ice911's search for "Mark Logic".
My initial thoughts for the new blog title were: "On the Mark" and "Marked Improvement"; I still like them, even after pondering "Mark bLogic" above, but neither has the techie edge to it.
